Frequently asked questions
What is Alyvo?
Alyvo is the Agentic Commerce layer between consumer AI assistants and brand stores, not a consumer-facing AI chat platform. Shoppers use their own AI assistant for conversation and recommendations; Alyvo connects that assistant to brand product data, purchase rules, and existing store checkout. Our current focus is Agentic Storefront, with Merchant Agents and CRM Agents as future service directions.
What will Alyvo Catalog help with?
Product information can be scattered across platforms or lack specifications and purchase conditions. Alyvo Catalog is planned to normalize product formats, enrich descriptions, and include local shopping conditions as a foundation for AI understanding and commerce integrations.
What is UCP, and where does Alyvo fit?
UCP (Universal Commerce Protocol) is an open protocol for commerce systems. Consumer AI uses commerce capabilities; Alyvo plans to provide the brand-side Catalog and UCP endpoint for queries, pre-purchase checks, carts, and store handoffs. We do not replace the shopper's AI or claim full UCP support. Functions, versions, and channels require individual validation.
Does UCP always redirect shoppers to a store?
No. UCP also covers native and embedded checkout, with handoff to a merchant interface when needed. Alyvo's current website scenario sends the shopper to the original store to complete checkout after confirming a product. This is our current integration direction, not a restriction on every UCP shopping experience.
How does AI discover what a store can do?
UCP lets compatible AI discover the capabilities a business declares. Alyvo's endpoint design describes supported functions and scope, then connects product queries and cart operations within mutually supported capabilities. Product data and purchase rules remain subject to brand approval. Specific functions and versions require validation.
How will Taiwan pickup, invoice, and payment needs be handled?
Convenience-store pickup, electronic invoices, and local payment needs inform Alyvo's extension design; UCP does not automatically handle every local rule. Our current direction makes purchase conditions queryable, then hands checkout, payments, and official orders back to the original store. Coverage depends on platform integration and validation.
Do I need to replace my commerce platform?
Our design starts with your existing store. Initial integration directions are Shopify and SHOPLINE, connecting product data, carts, and checkout handoffs. Payments and official orders remain on the original platform. Coverage depends on integration requirements and validation.
Will my products automatically appear in every AI assistant?
An integration does not mean automatic access to every AI channel. Product data preparation, protocol integration, and channel availability are separate steps. Each channel's eligibility, coverage, and product requirements still apply.
What will the shopping experience look like?
Shoppers tell their own AI assistant about a use case, budget, specifications, or pickup needs. That assistant retrieves brand product data and purchase rules through Alyvo, then compares and recommends options before handing off to the original store. The website illustrates a consumer AI assistant using Alyvo, not an Alyvo chat product or a live ordering interface.
Are Merchant Agents and CRM Agents part of the service direction?
Yes. Our broader direction includes Agentic Commerce, Merchant agents and CRM agents. Agentic Storefront, built around Catalog and a UCP endpoint, is our current focus. Merchant agents will use brand knowledge and service policies for pre-sale and after-sale conversations and human handoffs. Merchant Agents and CRM Agents are future extensions, with scope and availability shaped by needs and validation. These are Alyvo product directions, not features automatically provided by adopting UCP.
